Please arrive early and quietly unpack outside the classroom. You may leave your case in the front room. Teachers can not run late so you will forfeit lesson time if you are tardy. Use the restroom and wash your hands before handling the instrument. Please turn off cellphones. If siblings are attending, make sure they have a quiet activity.
Practicing
To ensure the best progress and most musical experience, students are required to practice the length of their lesson 6 days a week. Parents of younger students are expected to set a side time to practice with their child daily.
Missed Lessons
There are no guarantees or a make up lesson and no refunds if lessons are missed. Students may switch lessons with another or be offered a spot when someone else cancels. Families that come to lessons sick will be sent home and forfeit the lesson. Please wear a mask if you are unsure of "allergies."All absences by the teacher will be made up in a timely manner. In the event of bad weather, lessons will take place via FaceTime or Skype during the usual lesson time.
Cell Phones
Phones should be silenced and left out of sight during lessons unless the parent is recording part of the class. Answering the phone or texting is not appropriate during class and can distract the child. Please show your child that you care about what s/he is doing in the lesson.
Paying Tuition
Tuition is due at the beginning of each semester (September, February, and July). Tuition may be paid via check to Animato Suzuki or PayPal (please add a 3% fee).
Studio Class
Students are expected to reserve Wednesday afternoons as group class days (schedule given in August). Please give notice if you need to miss a class. If students miss more than 25% of studio classes then their participation in the Ensemble Concerts will be at jeopardy. In the event of illness or bad weather, group may be moved to be following Wednesday or taught on zoom. If your child has a semester conflict please reach out to your teacher.
